Burrito tasted too plain. Needed more authentic flavor. Overall staff was great and everything else was delish.

El Zarape is hands down the very best Mexican restaurant in Juneau.Very small, you order at counter but they bring it to your table.I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Food and service is top notch.

Really awesome! I grew up eating some of the best Mexican, Cuban, South American, and island food you'll find anywhere, and this reminds me of home. I wouldn't mind a little more food with my meal, but it's at least all really good! Only place in Juneau that I'll go for Mexican food. I still need to try their tamales, but everything else has been great so far.

Good food, better if chips and salsa were brought to the table as you sat down.

Food was great but over priced by alot. Got chicken fajitas (3 tortillas, half plate of rice and beans, quarter plate of a combination of guacamole, 4 pieces of lettuce a small scoop of sour cream, and a quarter plate of grilled bell peppers, chicken and onions, about 5 pieces for chicken). For $14 plus your tip. No complimentary chips and salsa that's extra. I could have definitely eaten 2 plates of fajitas easily but didn't want to pay $28 plus tip plus more for chips and salsa.Very friendly service but way to expensive which is a shame 😒.

Perfect "hole in the wall" with truly amazing food and great staff. Very casual. Limited seating. Amazing food - fresh, crisp - homemade horchata!

The food was merely "okay." The serving size was a bit smaller than what I had hoped for the price. The staff was extremely friendly. The guy running the cash register was really nice and talked to us about his hot sauces. I wish they put more on the food, but he sold us a few bottles of his private stash, which was really cool.

This is the best Mexican food I have had in the state of Alaksa. They are not going to win a decor award, but the best places never do. They could serve their food anywhere and it would speak for itself, it's just that good. Very authentic and homemade flavor!

Being from Texas, and for several other reasons, I KNOW good Mexican food.....and have been trying to find some ever since I moved to Alaska a year and a half ago. I travel all over for my job and try any Mexican restaurant I find. El Zarape is hands down the best I have found, so far. It was SO good, that I went two days in a row. I will FOR SURE be eating here anytime that I get to Juneau.

Best authentic Mexican food in town. They have awesome customer service and warm environment. If I had a complaint it would be the parking situation but that's all I could say negatively about it.
